Eritrea Reaffirms Solidarity with Palestine Amid Ceasefire Implementation

In a press statement released today Jan 19, 2025, the Government of Eritrea expressed its unwavering support for the people of Palestine as the Gaza Ceasefire Agreement comes into effect.
This gesture highlights Eritrea's enduring solidarity with the Palestinian cause and its commitment to the principles of liberation and independence.
The Eritrean Ministry of Information lauded the resilience and sacrifices of the Palestinian people, stressing that their struggle for independence and self-determination remains a powerful testament to the unyielding spirit of those striving for justice and freedom.
“Once again in the 21st century, the people of Palestine have demonstrated, through unparalleled sacrifices and resilience, that the inalienable rights of peoples to liberation and independence cannot be vanquished by force and coercion,” the statement read.
The Eritrean government urged peace-loving nations and individuals worldwide to support the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, reiterating its firm belief in the universal right to self-determination.
As the Gaza Ceasefire Agreement takes a critical step toward potential peace and stability, Eritrea's call for international solidarity underscores the broader aspirations for a just resolution to the longstanding conflict.
